CX UNO CATx-based KVM Switch, 8-/16-Port

The ideal Multi-Platform KVM switch
The ServSwitch CX UNO is based on the ServSwitch CX Matrix series, guarantying a high
level of quality and compatibility across server hardware and software platforms. The CX UNO comes in 8- and 16-port versions. Depending on the required interface, Server Access Modules (SAMs) can be chosen from either PS/2, USB or Sun. All platforms are available with stereo audio support for speakers, too! Servers can be placed up to 10m away from the switch with a simple CATx cable used to interconnect.

DDC EDID read and store support
Modern graphic adaptor cards - even with analogue output - require the presence of DDC (Display Data Channel) information. Without it, they do not output any video or output just lowest resolution without any option to change to a higher one. The ServSwitch CX UNO reads the DDC information from the attached display and stores it non-volatile in each SAM module to avoid such issues.

Small form factor

Less than half the width of a standard 19" mountable device, the CX UNO supports, via cascade up to 31 servers in 1U of rack space. Together with a KVM drawer like the ServView DVI (see solution box above) it is an ideal solution for dense server rack environments.

Remote Access Option via CATx
Using the CX or CATmiX Receiver Modules for PS/2 or USB (see solution box on top on this page) a remote user is granted access to the attached servers from up to 300 metres away using a single CATx cable.

Remote Control Option
Like all CX series switches, the CX UNO can be switched remotely via RS-232/V.24 commands. Multiple units can also be switched synchronously, allowing multi-head video support.
